The Features Editor leads the development of TUD's editorial output, including long-form reporting, analysis and explainers, and oversees the delivery of multimedia, social and partner content to ensure consistent, engaging and strategically aligned storytelling.
The role is critical to positioning TUD as the leading source of intelligent property industry analysis and thought leadership across Australia and New Zealand.

Cross-team collaboration and editorial leadership
Feature development:
Ensure quality high-value features are produced in line with editorial direction that convey the value proposition of and subscription to TUD+ membership.
Editorial strategy and planning:
Work alongside the Managing Editor to develop an editorial features strategy and ensure content reflects the major trends, risks, opportunities and disruptors influencing the property and development sectors.
Work with the Managing Editor to plan multi-week and multi-month feature pipelines, including special series, major editorial themes and tentpole content for TUD+.
Partner features and commercial alignment:
Plan, coordinate, manage and execute partner features and sponsored content, ensuring it remains engaging, high-quality and strategically aligned with both editorial and commercial expectations.
Social Media Amplification:
Collaborate with the Managing Editor and Marketing Coordinator to translate features into high-performing social media content—including carousels, headlines, threads, pull quotes, graphics and teaser scripts—designed to maximise reach, engagement and TUD+ conversion.
Multi-Media Content Production:
Develop and prepare feature-led multimedia content—including social media posts, podcast scripts, webinar talking points and on-air briefing notes—to amplify TUD's editorial campaigns across all distribution channels.
Webinar and broadcast preparation:
Prepare editorially aligned content for TUD webinars, virtual broadcasts and panel discussions, including:
research summaries and briefing packets,pre-event talking points and key messages,question frameworks for hosts or moderators,audience engagement prompts, post-broadcast write-ups or feature follow-ons.
Publication diary integration:
Work with the Managing Editor and News Editor to integrate feature and analytical content into the daily and weekly publication cycle, ensuring balanced, high-quality output and compelling reader journeys.
Content quality and editorial oversight:
Uphold high editorial standards, ensuring accuracy, analytical depth, structural clarity, and relevance to TUD's professional audience.
Rigorously edit long-form and premium content for accuracy, clarity, structure and analytical depth, refine angles, mentor writers through substantive edits, and ensure all feature output aligns with TUD's editorial standards and strategic direction.
Internal content collaborations:
Work with the commercial, events and marketing teams to develop feature-style content that supports campaigns, summits, reports, and strategic business initiatives.
Data-driven analysis and insights:
Identify and translate market data, research, economic insights and industry intelligence into compelling explanatory and analytical features.
