About the opportunity
We are embarking on a significant transformation of our risk function to build a more resilient and future-focused bank. Join us as technology risk leader and bring your passion to shape our risk strategy We're looking for a Head of Technology Risk Advisory to join our Group Risk team and make a real impact.
Reporting to the General Manager Operational Risk & Div CRO Technology. In this role, you will lead a specialist team, acting as a trusted advisor to our Technology Division. You'll be instrumental in providing expert advice and independent oversight, ensuring our technology risk profile is managed effectively and aligns with our strategic goals and industry best practices. In this role you'll get to…
Provide expert technology risk advice and recommendations to the CTO and senior technology leaders.
Offer strategic oversight and constructive challenges to the Technology Division's risk management practices.
Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of technology risk specialists.
Independently monitor and report on the Technology Division's compliance with our risk appetite and policies.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across all lines of defense.
What you'll bring to the role
To be successful in the role you will have:
Extensive experience in Technology Risk, Information Security (CPS234), and Data Risk (CPG235) within the Australian financial services industry.
Deep knowledge of non-financial risk management and its practical application in complex technology environments.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Recent and up to date experience with cloud technologies, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
