Principal Cyber Threat Analyst
Help protect a critical national infrastructure by proactively identifying cyber threats on a global network. As a Principal Cyber Threat Analyst, you will join a specialised cyber operations team in Canberra, tasked with leveraging cyber threat intelligence and advanced analytics to hunt for threats and enhance the security posture of a high-stakes federal environment.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively hunt for cyber threats across a large-scale global network
* Leverage Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) in hunt activities and analysis
* Create and manage threat detection tools, including dashboards and custom use cases
* Analyse logs and events to identify patterns and develop countermeasures
Key Criteria:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cyber Security Incident Responder or Threat Hunter
* Skilled in using SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sentinel for log analysis and threat detection
* Hands-on experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework in threat hunting or incident response
* Proven ability to design and test use cases for malicious activity detection
