About the role
Our client is seeking a Project Manager/Capability Engagement Manager to ensure that technology delivery initiatives are delivered to the business outcomes with focus on time, cost, and quality.
You will own the end-end plan including value realization, refining with ongoing technical and business inputs. You will be responsible for managing technology delivery initiatives to ensure they meet business outcomes effectively.
You will ensure initiatives to be successfully initiated, planned, monitored, tested and controlled through to implementation and closure, including networks and IT acceptance management.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the management of project initiatives through all delivery stages, helping to ensure timelines are met, costs remain within budget, and solutions meet business and operational quality standards.
* Assist in controlling costs by carefully reviewing project scope and engaging regularly with stakeholders to clarify and refine requirements early in the process.
* Help track progress against stage gate requirements, ensuring that each phase meets its criteria before moving to the next step in the Enterprise Technology Delivery (ETD) process.
* Contribute to defining clear and complete requirements that reflect all aspects of quality relevant to the project's objectives.
* Participate in project showcases, demos, and review sessions to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and informed throughout delivery.
* Work with senior team members to estimate and document the expected business benefits, ensuring requirements clearly reflect how technology outcomes will support business value once implemented.
Qualifications
* Certifications/Qualifications: PMP or Prince2 accreditation
* Extensive experience in project and program delivery
Required Skills
* Strong understanding of Engineering, Product and IT development lifecycles, activities for on/off boarding customers and business partners, recognised project standards and methodologies
* Strong understanding and consistent application of project management competencies, including scope, time cost, quality, change, communications, risk and integration
* In depth understanding and experience in the telecommunications industry is a bonus
* Well-developed business acumen and strategic thinking skills
* Strong conceptual abilities coupled with a strong knowledge of business requirements
* Ability to develop productive relationships with key stakeholders
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and highly organised
* Ability to overlay resource and competency planning with pipeline activities
* Excellent negotiation skills
Daily rate
Circa $600p.d. to $640p.d. incl super
