At Lives Lived Well, we're passionate about making a real difference in people's lives. For over 50 years, we've supported individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drugs, as well as those facing mental health and gambling challenges or transitioning from correctional centres. As we continue to grow, we're building a reputation for clinical excellence, innovation, and genuine care - and we'd love for you to join us on this journey.
If you have compassion, the ability to work without judgment and share our belief in recovery, then join us and open up your career in human services.
The Service
Nana Muru is a day-based mobile Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation and withdrawal program. The service incorporates both day programs and withdrawal support, using a blend of place-based service delivery and mobile outreach.
Your opportunity
As an Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health and Trauma Specialist, you'll work closely with clients to support their ongoing management, counselling and treatment of AOD dependency and related challenges. You'll advocate for them, walk alongside them as they work toward their goals, and help build their confidence and capacity along the way.
This is an ongoing, part-time role (22.8 hours per week) that involves travel across the Shoalhaven region, including visits to various work sites and engagement with clients who present with complex needs.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring clients receive holistic, person-centred support that leads to meaningful recovery and improved wellbeing. You'll be part of a small, dedicated and passionate team of likeminded professionals committed to making a real difference.
What we are looking for
With an established career in the AOD sector – either residential or community based – you will be a proactive, dedicated clinician looking for your next exciting challenge.
· Experience providing high-quality client engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and family support, including pre/post-rehab work and relapse-prevention planning.
· Confidence working within clinical frameworks, managing risk and supporting clients with complex or dual-diagnosis presentations.
· Strong relationships with mental health services and referral pathways, paired with effective advocacy skills.
· Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills, with the ability to produce clear, detailed documentation.
· A calm, mature and resilient approach, able to engage well with people during high-stress or emotionally charged moments.
· Creativity and initiative — you think outside the box and contribute ideas for service and process improvement.
