The opportunity
As our manager in the Private tax team you will have the opportunity to work with a range of exciting entrepreneurial start-up businesses, established private businesses and high net wealth individuals and families.
This is a hybrid position Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of diverse growth clients including privately owned corporate groups, privately owned business, high net wealth families, trusts, and other privately owned entities.
Oversee tax compliance, financial statements, planning, and advisory services for extensive client groups featuring diverse entity types such as trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals.
Working directly with Partners and senior Tax specialists in delivering advice to privately owned corporate groups, high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, and their owners on intricate tax matters, including restructures, domestic transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A, and specific trust issues.
Skills and attributes for success
Experience in Tax Consulting, ideally in a top-tier or second-tier accounting firm or legal firm.
Experience in managing junior staff and their development.
Advanced tax technical knowledge relevant to any of the corporate groups, individuals or trusts.
Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
Tax experience, preferably gained in a professional services environment in Australia.
Excellent client facing skills with the confidence to lead client meetings and build a network.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.
