About the Role

As the Manager, Injury Management, you will lead the ABC's approach to injury prevention, injury management and return to work across a large, national and operationally diverse workforce. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing workplace injury prevention strategies, workers compensation and recovery at work practices. Leading a small specialist team, you'll work closely with HR, Employee Relations, WHS, leaders, unions and external providers to deliver practical, people‐centred and commercially sound outcomes. You'll also play an important role in strengthening organisational capability, improving systems and processes, and fostering a proactive approach to early intervention and safe recovery at work.

You Will
* Lead enterprise-wide injury prevention and injury management strategies
* Oversee complex workers compensation and return to work matters
* Drive early intervention and recovery at work initiatives
* Partner with HR, ER, WHS, leaders, unions and external providers
* Provide expert advice on workers compensation, rehabilitation and legislative obligations
* Analyse claims data and injury trends to support prevention strategies and improved outcomes
* Ensure compliance across Comcare and relevant state‐based workers compensation frameworks
* Deliver reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
* Lead and develop a high‐performing injury management team
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and provider performance
About You

You're an experienced and credible leader with strong technical expertise across injury management and workers compensation frameworks, including Comcare and state‐based schemes. You bring sound judgement, empathy and professionalism, with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive matters in a practical and people‐focused way. You're comfortable working across operational, legal and people considerations, building trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisational environment.

You'll Bring
* Significant experience leading injury management, injury prevention or workers compensation functions within large or complex organisations
* Experience working within complex industrial and unionised environments
* Strong understanding of risk, governance and compliance obligations
* Experience using claims data and insights to improve prevention and recovery outcomes
* Proven leadership capability, including leading teams and driving service improvement
* Strong communication, case management and problem‐solving skills
* Professionalism, resilience and discretion when managing sensitive matters
* A collaborative and values‐led approach aligned with the ABC Values
