KAEFER is seeking a driven and experienced PROJECT ENGINEER to join our Darwin-based team, supporting key projects within the Oil & Gas sector. This role will suit a technically strong and commercially aware engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, cost control and progress reporting.
* Prepare work packs, method statements, ITPs, and ensure engineering deliverables meet project requirements.
* Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors and resources to enable efficient execution.
* Manage daily progress tracking, earned hours, PF analysis and forecasting.
* Review drawings, identify constructability issues and raise TQs, RFIs or design clarifications as needed.
* Support QA/QC processes including inspections, redlines, MDR compilation and punch list close-out.
* Assist with risk management, change control, and variation development.
* Collaborate closely operations teams to resolve issues and keep work moving.
* Champion safety through preparation of safe work documentation and active field engagement.
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum of 3years’ experience within the O&G sector or heavy industrial
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Structural Engineering
* Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
* Effective communicator with the confidence to work across multiple disciplines.
