Drilling Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Horizontal Directional Driller to join our team on civil and utility projects across Australia.
This is an entry-level role suited to someone keen to learn the HDD trade and build a long-term career in civil construction.
You'll be working alongside experienced drillers and crews on a range of projects.
Prior HDD experience is not essential- a strong work ethic and the right attitude is
key.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting the driller with day-to-day HDD operations
- Set-up, operation, and pack down of drilling equipment
- Mixing drilling fluids and handling rods and tooling
- General labouring duties on site
- Spotting, pit work, and site preparation
- Adhering to all WHS requirements and site safety procedures
- Travel to project sites as required, may include interstate travel
Skills and Requirements:
- Genuine interest in HDD or civil construction
- Construction white card (mandatory)
- Current Drivers License
- MR/HR License highly regarded but not essential
- Ability and willingness to work away from home if necessary
-Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
-Willingness to learn and take direction- Traffic control NSW TC Implement traffic management and traffic control ticket highly regarded but not essential.
