Electrical Systems Engineer Position
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our multi-disciplined in-house engineering team.
This opportunity will see you become a key member of our Power Utilities teams based in Sydney, working on challenging and exciting projects that shape the way we evolve, adapt and transform the industries we work in.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed designs, developing specifications, and interfacing with other disciplines, construction, commissioning, management, and clients on design issues.
The role requires strong computer skills and industry experience in a diverse range of relevant Power System Protection and Automation software packages/equipment suppliers/products.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in Design, integration & coordination, installation & commissioning of electrical systems and services for high voltage power systems.
They will also possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, understanding and knowledge of secondary system design from basic concept development through to detailed design preferably Design-for-Construction environment, utility-based or engineering consultancy design experience.
Key responsibilities include planning and conducting professional engineering work on relevant aspects of EHV/HV Secondary Systems Strategic Planning and Conceptual Design (Protection, SCADA, Comms, Data Networks etc.), providing detail design services on specialist engineering areas, checking design work for technical accuracy and adequacy, and providing technical support to the Business Development, Tendering and Operations as required.

* Electrical Engineering Degree
* At least 3 years' experience in Design, integration & coordination, installation & commissioning of electrical systems and services for high voltage power systems
* Understanding and knowledge of secondary system design from basic concept development through to detailed design preferably Design-for-Construction environment, utility-based or engineering consultancy design experience
* Strong computer skills and industry experience in a diverse range of relevant Power System Protection and Automation software packages/equipment suppliers/products
