Golding is currently seeking a Commercial Manager for our Urban division based at Ormeau. Reporting to the General Manager Urban, the successful candidate will provide leadership in the management, governance and optimisation of the project's commercial, contractual and financial performance. The roster for this role will operate on a (5-2) Monday to Friday.
Key role tasks:
* Lead and manage the Urban administration team, ensuring procurement processes are followed efficiently and consistently across projects
* Oversee procurement systems and governance, including maintaining a central repository of agreements, pricing schedules, and documentation.
* Establish, negotiate, and manage blanket supply agreements, including supplier relationships, compliance requirements, and performance reviews
* Analyse project spend and conduct category reviews (plant, materials, subcontractors) to identify savings opportunities, improve value, and ensure adherence to negotiated rates.
* Manage labour hire processes, including onboarding, timesheets, rate renewals, and supplier performance.
* Support projects with procurement during mobilisation and ongoing operations, including sourcing plant and materials.
* Collaborate with Precontracts to align estimating libraries with procurement strategies and assist with contract negotiations and;
* Track and report ESG-related procurement spend, including Indigenous and social value initiatives.
Key capability requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in a related field are highly preferred;
* Demonstrated experience administering major civil infrastructure or urban contracts in an operational environment;
* Proven capability in cost control systems, project forecasting and commercial risk management;
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex commercial issues concurrently in a dynamic site environment;
* Well-developed communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) demonstrating the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders and clients.
