* Base Salary Range: $103,353 - $110,497 p.a
* In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), Professional Development Allowance, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging).

Site and Service:

Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is a large regional hospital comprising of 75 beds including flex beds and a designated High Dependency Unit. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency, medical and surgical, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatients. Whyalla Hospital's Cancer Resource Centre is one of the largest in regional South Australia. It includes six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care and counselling services, reducing the need to travel outside of the region for care. It is also, one of three stroke services in regional SA, providing specialised treatment for suitable stroke patients 24/7, supported by metropolitan stroke units. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community.

About the Role:

As the Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager - Discharge Coordinator, you'll combine your clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to support high-quality, patient-centred care. In this role, you will guide and mentor less experienced staff, promote continuity of care, and work closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to implement practice improvements. You will also contribute to ward and unit management, including staff development, rostering, and resource planning, while ensuring safe and effective discharge processes that support positive patient outcomes.

About You:

* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
* Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
