As Banquet Manager, you’ll lead the execution of world-class events in one of Sydney’s most unique venues. You’ll oversee a passionate team, ensure flawless service delivery, and bring our signature experiences to life — all while working beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge and alongside the city’s vibrant cultural precinct. Core Responsibilities Event Execution & Service Leadership Lead a banqueting team of supervisors and associates, delivering a seamless execution across weddings, high end corporate events and bespoke functions. Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of functions, ensuring brand standards and guest expectations are exceeded. Act as the main point of contact for clients during events, ensuring a personalised and professional experience. Team Management & Development Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing banquet team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Manage scheduling, performance, and development of banquet associates. Operational Excellence Collaborate with Sales, Events, and Culinary teams to ensure smooth event planning and execution. Maintain inventory, manage costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Drive guest satisfaction through attention to detail and proactive problem-solving. Candidate Profile Education & Experience 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or related field; 3 years’ experience in event operations or food and beverage service OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field; 1 year experience in event operations or food and beverage service Preferred Qualifications Proven leadership in high-volume, high-profile event environments Strong communication and organisational skills Natural problem solver and high attention to detail Eager to grow your career in a global company Passion for hospitality, creativity, and delivering exceptional guest experiences Experience managing large-scale events, including premium seasonal activations like New Year’s Eve Why Pier One?
