As a member of our Service Deli Team, your role will include receiving and preparing product, maintaining the displays, and selling product in support of regional Deli standards. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.
**Duties**:
1.Provide courteous, friendly and efficient service to all customers.
2. Assist the Delicatessen Manager administer weekly price amendments and advertised prices on stock.
3. Assist the Delicatessen Manager Merchandise weekly displays.
4. Assist in the preparation of delicatessen products as directed by the Delicatessen Manager.
5. Maintain the required personal hygiene and cleanliness standards as appropriate for someone working in the Delicatessen Department.
6. Maintain the Delicatessen Department selling area in a clean and tidy manner.
7. When assisting on product receivables into the Delicatessen Department, ensure that the products and ingredients are of the highest possible standards and are appropriate for processing into delicatessen products.
8. Complete food handling training.
9. Perform other duties as requested by the Delicatessen Manager.
10. Markdown and Clearance information must be recorded on the Shrinkage Sheet
11. Storage and prep areas must be kept clean and tidy at all times and meet Health and Safety standards.
12. Ensure that you wear proper uniform as this creates a professional outlook for the department. The uniform includes clean aprons and clothes and closed in flat heeled shoes (non porous)
13. You will be demonstrated with the correct use of Slicers and other tools. Ensure that you follow the procedures accurately at all times.
14. Adhere to cleaning procedures ensures cross contamination does not occur.
