You will be part of a high-performing corporate team in Brisbane, working closely with experienced and respected Partners on a broad range of mid-market transactions and advisory matters.
The Role
* Private mergers and acquisitions
* Drafting and negotiating shareholders agreements, share sale agreements, asset sale agreements, joint ventures and general commercial contracts
* Corporate restructures and strategic transactions
* Matters for private equity and financial sponsor clients
* General corporate advisory matters
* Legal due diligence, including coordinating workstreams and preparing reports
* Working closely with clients on both domestic and cross-border transactions
You will have the opportunity to take a hands‐on role in matters, working directly with clients and contributing to the delivery of practical, commercially focused advice.
About You
* 6+ years' PAE in corporate law (Senior Associate or Special Counsel level)
* Experience in private M&A transactions, ideally within a mid‐market or top‐tier environment
* Strong experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents
* Exposure to due diligence processes and transaction management
* A commercial and pragmatic approach, with an interest in understanding client objectives
