Fitter
Our company is seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on various mechanical equipment, including crushing machines and mobile plants.
We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, as well as performing routine maintenance and inspections.
The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling crushing equipment components, troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, crushing equipment, and hydraulic systems. They will also use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently, maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.

* Key Responsibilities:
o Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on crushing equipment, mobile plant, light vehicles and other equipment as required.
o Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
o Disassemble and reassemble crushing equipment components.
o Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, crushing equipment, and hydraulic systems.
o Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
o Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
* Skills/Qualifications:
o Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)
o National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site)
o Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
o High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable)
o Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
o Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
o Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
o Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Strong communication and teamwork skills.
