Your new company
A successful professional services company in the engineering and construction space. Working with Tier 1 clients, they have grown substantially over the past few years with ambitious growth plans in the coming 5 years. To support their success and growth, they are now looking to appoint a Head of Finance to work in partnership with the senior management team.
Your new role
Your role will be to lead financial strategy and operations across its diverse group of entities. Based within the airport area of Sydney, your main responsibilities will be to drive business growth, oversee financial compliance, and shape the finance function. Ideal for a dynamic leader with multi-entity experience, the position offers autonomy, strategic influence, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to commercial success.
* Lead financial input into pricing, contracts, and investments
* Represent finance in executive meetings and cross-functional initiatives
* Manage short- and long-term cash flow
* Oversee bank Invoice Financing and working capital
* Lead banking relationships and negotiate financial facilities
* Develop capital management strategies
* Deliver timely and accurate financial reports
* Create financial models and scenario analyses
* Provide insights for bids, tenders, and new opportunities
* Monitor performance and identify improvements
* Ensure compliance with superannuation, payroll tax, workers comp, PAYG, BAS, etc.
* Maintain internal controls and risk frameworks
* Liaise with auditors and regulators
* Oversee AP, AR, and payroll (onshore and offshore)
* Implement efficient transaction and credit control processes
* Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
* Lead financial aspects of bids and tenders
* Support pricing and cost modelling
* Collaborate with operations for commercial viability
What you'll need to succeed
* Workers Compensation strategy and reporting
* CA/ CPA qualified
* Pricing reviews, Awards, EBAs, insurance rate guidance
* Banking negotiations and financial facility management
* M&A experience including due diligence and integration
