Our Team
Our Personal Care Workers (PCWs) are dedicated to helping older Victorians live their best lives, by delivering person-centred care that can only come from truly knowing the individuals they are supporting. The role of a PCW is exciting and diverse in our residential aged care homes. Each day is unique and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to our residents. Our PCWs provide empathy, support and companionship to our residents through daily living activities, assisting with meal services, providing engaging, inclusive activities and day programs. With our deeply lived values guiding the way, our PCWs enjoy a respectful, collaborative environment where they're trusted to do their best. The Opportunity
This is a permanent part-time position as Personal Care Workers to join our Residential Services team based at our Eaglehawk home in California Gully VIC 3556. This home has 67 wonderful residents who value your contribution, Eaglehawk is nestled among gardens and outside terraces and boasts internal courtyards with roses and fountains, as well as a BBQ and vegetable patch.
Permanent Part-time position with AM, PM and Night Duty shifts
What you will do
Assist residents with daily activities according to their needs and choices
Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse on shift
Plan and support residents with social and lifestyle activities within the home
Document information including all required charting and progress notes
Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
Completed cert III / IV in Aging & Individual Support or a related qualification. If you have completed the first year of your nursing studies, and have completed your placements, you will be a qualified Care Worker.
A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
