We are seeking an Analyst to join the Companies, Registered Liquidators and Small Business team within
Regulation & Supervision. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and emerging regulatory issues while developing strong analytical, investigative and stakeholder engagement skills.

The team
ASIC's Regulation & Supervision group is responsible for supervision and surveillance, regulatory reform and implementation, and licensing for all sectors regulated by ASIC (excluding markets).
The Companies, Registered Liquidators and Small Business team focuses on corporate governance conduct and disclosure issues, compliance by directors and officers with their duties, and financial reporting lodgement requirements. The team undertakes proactive surveillance and monitoring, assesses applications for regulatory relief, contributes to regulatory reform activity and actively engages with stakeholders to address current and emerging risks.
The role
As an Analyst, you will support ASIC's regulatory objectives by contributing to a range of regulatory and supervisory activities. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will apply sound judgement, analytical thinking and clear communication to promote governance, compliance and better outcomes for consumers and markets.
You Will Be Accountable For
* Identifying, assessing and responding to regulatory issues to promote compliance and market integrity
* Participating in surveillances and thematic reviews, including collecting, analysing and interpreting data and information
* Assessing applications for relief from legislative requirements, including reviewing submissions and forming well‐reasoned recommendations
* Drafting clear analysis, advice, reports, briefings and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
* Engaging with industry stakeholders to build sector knowledge and support improved industry conduct
* Maintaining knowledge of ASIC's regulatory framework, legislative requirements and contemporary regulatory developments.
About You
You are a motivated and analytical professional who enjoys working on complex issues involving regulation of companies and protection of investors and consumers. You work well in a team environment, communicate clearly, and are developing strong judgement and problem‐solving skills.
You Will Also Have
* A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. accounting, business, data and analytics, finance, economics, law, policy or social science)
* Strong analytical and research skills
* The ability to analyse legal issues and monitor compliance obligations
* Experience applying regulatory or professional judgement
* Well‐developed written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Professional experience in a regulated, compliance, policy, government, consulting or academic environment (desirable).
