The Community Development Directorate works to develop safe and vibrant places and deliver services and facilities to support a community that is healthy, welcoming, and thriving.
The City has three Aquatic Facilities: Stirling Leisure – Scarborough Beach, Inglewood, and Balga; three Recreational Centres: Stirling Leisure – Mirrabooka, Hamersley Hub, and Scarborough Hub; plus Stirling Leisure – Hamersley Public Golf Course.
The Aquatic Facilities provide a range of casual employment opportunities, such as:
1. Pool Lifeguards
2. Learn to Swim Instructors
3. Group Fitness Instructors
4. Gym Instructors
5. Cleaners
6. Customer Service Officers
The City's Recreation Facilities offer other casual positions such as:

Stirling Leisure – Hamersley Public Golf Course offers Golf Course Officer and Customer Service Officer roles.
