About the Role
Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
To provide best support you will have experience in providing high intensity daily personal activities (including complex bowel care) and manual handling (including hoist transfers).
To be considered for a role you must be able to commit to a variety of client session times across various suburbs. The typical suburbs and session availability is as follows:
Rockdale: Mon 10:30am-12pm, Tue 11am – 1pm and Wed 11am-1pm
Kingsgrove: Tue 8:30-11:30am
Beverly Hills: Mon 9:15-10:15am
Kogarah: Wed & Thu 8:30-10:30am and Sat 7:30-9:30am
Greenacre: Tue & Wed 8-9am, Thu 9-10:30am and Fri 8-am
Narwee: Mon 10:45am – 2:45pm, Wed 11:15am – 2:15pm and Thu 11:30am-4pm
Riverwood: Tue 8:30am – 2:30pm and Thu 10am – 12pm
Mortdale Sat 6-8pm
Note, shifts will be paid at a minimum of 2 hours and you will be reimbursed 0.99 cents per kilometre travelled between client sessions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (including complex bowel care)
* Assist with hoist transfers
* Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
* Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
* Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
* Documenting and progress note keeping
Skills & Experience
* Experience providing High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
* Previous experience support people with disability in a home care setting
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Confidence and experience in manual handling and providing personal care
* Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Willing to complete basic household chores
* Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
