About the Role
This is a casual opportunity for an Aged Care Home and Community Assistant to provide personalised support to older Australians, enabling them to remain independent within their homes. You will have a willingness to travel, as you will be supporting clients in the Queanbeyan area and surrounding suburbs, with travel time up to 45 minutes between clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
* Personal care including grooming and showering
* Community access to medical appointments and social activities
* Supporting with tasks and routines
* Building positive relationships with clients
Skills & Experience
* Possession of Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar)
* An Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
