Site Engineer Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our team in delivering bridge construction and maintenance works. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident, motivated, willing to learn, and keen to progress their career.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering various bridge work packages including demolition, construction of new structures, refurbishment and strengthening, culvert construction, associated roadworks, and drainage improvements. This role requires strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines, effective communication skills, and a practical hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementation of quality assurance procedures, manuals, and checklists.
* Preparation of budgets and quotes and monitoring of project costs.
* Preparation, updating and managing works projects.
* Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims related to works.
* Oversee quality assurance and safety on-site and directly manage small to medium civil construction projects.
* Manage internal/external crews to ensure works delivery is on time and to budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil) or equivalent tertiary qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in bridge and/or road construction.
* Available to work away from home when required.
* Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.
* Effective communication skills and a practical hands-on approach.
