Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 per annum + $13,024 ML Allowance pending experience

About the role

Gilroy Santa Maria College, Ingham, is seeking a visionary and experienced Middle Leader – Inclusive Practices to join our vibrant Catholic learning community. This is a Full Time, Fixed Term Contract position commencing Term 1, 2026 for the duration of the 2026 school year.

As Middle Leader – Inclusive Practices, you’ll lead inclusive education across the College, ensuring students with disabilities and additional learning needs are supported to thrive. You’ll collaborate with staff, guide curriculum adjustments, and drive evidence-informed strategies that foster academic, social, and emotional growth for all students. This role blends strategic leadership, instructional coaching, and faith-based values to shape a culture of equity and excellence.

- - Provide expert guidance on educational adjustments and student support
- Coach and mentor staff through observation, feedback, and professional learning
- Coordinate IEPs and inclusive workflows aligned with policy and timelines
- Analyse student data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership and external stakeholders to enhance student wellbeing
- Contribute to the College’s mission through faith, educational, and strategic leadership

About you

You’re a dynamic educator and leader with:

- A clear commitment to Catholic values and inclusive education
- Proven success in classroom teaching and curriculum leadership
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and leading professional development
- Strong analytical skills and data-informed decision-making
- Courage to innovate and lead change in complex educational settings
- Deep knowledge of inclusive pedagogy and the Australian Curriculum
- Experience with ICT integration and instructional coaching
- Strategic thinking and systems awareness across multidisciplinary teams
- A future-focused mindset and ability to inspire others

Mandatory Criteria

- Appropriate tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.

Desirable Criteria

- Completion or progress towards a postgraduate qualification in inclusive education
- Professional activity through membership of professional association/s and on-going professional development.
- Active pastoral engagement, authentic witness, sacramental participation and leadership in the life of the Church.
