Now seeking the assistance of a Business Development Specialist to join their thriving team in Melbourne to focus on the industrial clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage customer relationships and daily industrial sales activities within Melbourne to achieve sales targets and sustainable profitable growth.
- Grow own territory in securing and increasing gas / liquid sales with new and existing customers.
- Produce proposals, detailed costing and contract documents to ensure all transactions deliver maximum profit to the business.
- Manage relationships and contracts for all customers in designated sales territory to ensure long term and commercially profitable relationships.
- Complete all paperwork and reporting required by standard operating procedures.
- Identify safety and health hazards, report all risks, hazards, incidents, near misses and accidents.
- Support all internal and external auditing activities for the area that you are responsible for.
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering or Trade background in Mechanical or Welding
- 1-2-years' experience in a sales role selling into industrial markets such as Food & Beverage, Automotive, Mining or General Manufacturing ideal.
- Knowledge of the gas industry and safety requirements desirable.
- Strong sales skills and understanding of the sales process for Key Account development
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
