This role is key to driving projects, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering innovation. The successful candidate will lead power system analysis efforts, conduct technical research, and develop solutions for industry challenges.You’ll prepare, review, and sign off detailed technical reports, serve as a technical lead or reviewer for consulting engagements within Power Networks, develop proposals, and support business development by presenting PSC capabilities to clients.You will manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets, develop and deliver client presentations, and coordinate workflows globally. Mentoring and developing junior engineers is also part of your role. You’ll lead studies across generation, transmission, and distribution sectors, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate models for power system simulations using tools like PSSE, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, etc.Conduct feasibility studies for integrating renewable and conventional generation systems.Prepare detailed technical reports aligned with client objectives and standards.Lead power system studies including load flow, stability, and fault analysis.Coordinate international project teams from start to finish.Mentor junior engineers, fostering innovation and excellence.Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations.Provide high-level client and project leadership.Qualifications and SkillsAt least 10 years of experience in power system studies, focusing on strategic and renewable projects.Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably in power systems.Expertise in simulation software such as PSS/e, PSCAD, PowerFactory, with scripting experience in Python or C++.Proven project leadership and client-focused solutions delivery.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.Location and TravelThis role offers remote work with occasional travel up to 10%, mainly within Australia.
