The Opportunity The Spatial team is looking for a dynamic Assistant Spatial Analyst to collaborate and deliver top-notch GIS services in Sydney. In this role, you will support our consulting staff and provide GIS expertise across Urbis' and Cistri's diverse projects and activities. This is an amazing opportunity for those with 1-3 years' industry experience and for those who are looking to get exposure to leading industry specialists and accelerate their geospatial career.
You will: Collaborate with consulting staff to highlight the benefits of GIS analysis for client outcomes. Create visually appealing maps that adhere to corporate branding and client requirements. Support geo-processing tasks, including complex spatial queries for map display and data extraction. Demonstrate strong cartographic skills and contribute to the review of Urbis map templates and styles. Assist in data creation, maintenance, and geocoding for project-specific and corporate spatial data needs. Ensure consistency and quality of GIS products delivered to the wider business. About You: Has a tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems (or equivalent) Working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and A.G.O.L as well as the Microsoft desktop suite Experience with a wide variety of spatial data types, including their creation and maintenance Knowledge of good cartographic practice that you can actively deliver Why Urbis?
