The Operating Theatre Assistant role is for Calvary Health Care (Calvary Mater Newcastle) in Newcastle, NSW. This is a Permanent Part-Time / Temporary Part-Time (approx 7 months) and Casual position.

Role Details
- Role: Operating Theatre Assistant
- Salary Classification: Anaesthetic/Operating Theatre Technician
- Remuneration: $32.41 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options
- Roster: seven-day roster with on-call and overtime responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the transfer of patients to and from the Operating Theatre
- Assist with transfers and positioning of patients in the operating theatre (once competency has been assessed)
- Assist with the application of Diathermy plates and positioning equipment within the operating theatre suite (once competency has been assessed)
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by regularly dry/wet mopping before, during and after theatre lists
