Workforce Planning Director Opportunity
The ideal candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team to support a sustainable health system through strategic workforce planning.
* Develops and implements health workforce policy and planning, aligning with broader system objectives.
* Provides specialist advice on workforce strategy issues at State and National levels.
* Represents Tasmania in national forums, advising on workforce needs and developing strategies to address barriers and opportunities across the health system.
The successful applicant will have:
* Demonstrated knowledge of the health sector, including contemporary national and state workforce issues.
* Specialist knowledge and experience in leading and managing workforce strategy, policy, and long-term planning.
* Proven capacity to operate autonomously in a complex environment with adaptability and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop strategic health workforce plans, policies, and procedures to meet the needs of the health system. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize workforce development initiatives. Provide high-level specialist advice on workforce strategy issues to inform decision-making.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as health administration or public health. Proven experience in leading and managing workforce strategy, policy, and long-term planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
