ABOUT THE ROLE
The Beehive Montessori School is inviting applications from experienced School Receptionists or Administration Assistants. This is a full-time position with 4 weeks annual leave commencing early January 2026. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
Located on the front desk, the successful applicant will act as the first point of contact for general enquires and correspondence for the School; as well as coordinate the reception of visitors, contractors, volunteers, families and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
The role also entails providing administrative support to staff and coordinating general administrative activities which support the day to day operational effectiveness of the School. The successful applicant will work as part of the admin team to ensure delivery of high-quality customer service to staff, parents and students.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Australian citizen or permanent resident
* Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communication with a well-developed cross-cultural sensitivity, diplomacy and a friendly manner
* Proven experience in a similar role
* High level of computer literacy using a range of programs such as MS Office applications
* Proven ability to coordinate and manage a complex array of commitments, maximising time management to achieve optimal output
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity across all functions
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion, initiative and knowledge to determine appropriate actions
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
* A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Knowledge of school management software such as TASS
* Experience using Mail Chimp, Word Press, School Stream (or similar applications)
* Experience within the education sector
* An awareness of occupational health and safety hazards and compliance
