Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
The role is based within Network Mental Health services and is part of a district-wide eating disorder team. It involves eating disorder specific consultation liaison, capacity building to mental health services and other service partners, intensive short-term care coordination, and delivery of innovative evidence-based intervention approaches as a specialist service in addition to mainstream service provision.
This is a permanent part-time role based in Coffs Harbour.
Responsibilities
- Provide eating disorder specific consultation liaison and capacity building to Mental health services, Medical services, Dietetic services and other service partners.
- Deliver intensive short-term care coordination for people with eating disorders requiring a multi-systemic collaborative care approach, including working with carers.
- Deliver innovative evidence-based intervention approaches in individual or group formats as a specialist service in addition to mainstream service provision.
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders, including primary care and non-government organisations.
About You / Qualifications
- Hold a current registration with one of the following, or equivalent: Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post-registration experience; a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the AASW; qualifications recognised by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or be currently registered as a Psychologist with APHRA.
- Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and substantial experience in delivering eating disorders care and addressing access to care challenges.
- Proven advanced written and oral communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- Competence in the use of electronic information systems.
