EOI - High Voltage Auto Electrician - FIFO
Brooks Mechanical is looking for an experienced and safety-focusedHigh Voltage Auto Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll take the lead on installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage equipment across our projects, ensuring reliability and safety in some of WA's toughest environments. You'll bring your trade qualifications, HV switching expertise, and mine site experience to a role where no two days are the same.
What You'll Be Doing
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical system faults on heavy mobile equipment.
* Servicing and maintaining equipment like electric drive trucks, excavators, and loaders.
* Installing new wiring and high-voltage components.
* Conducting field diagnostics and breakdown repairs.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to Australian compliance standards.
* Liaising with other teams to minimise equipment downtime.
* Air conditioning diagnostic and repairs.
* Undertake other reasonable tasks and duties as directed by your Workshop Foreman/Supervisor.
What You'll Bring
* Hold a valid, recognised Electrical Trade Certificate (essential).
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
* Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
* Hold a current 'A' Grade Electrical License (Essential).
* High Voltage (HV) Switching ticket. Highly desirable for this specialised role.
* Hold a valid A/C Refrigerant Licence with extensive diagnostic experience.
* Experience with earthmoving equipment and/or specific brands such as CAT, Komatsu, or Liebherr and XCMG, is highly valued.
* Current valid C-class driver's licence (HR, LF and HC desirable).
* Ability to work independently in remote and challenging conditions.
