Permanent part time role | 48 hours per fortnight
About The Role
The Cook, Food Services is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for patients, residents, retail outlets, and both in-house and external functions, while strictly adhering to food safety standards and allergen control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve hot and cold food items in line with daily sales targets, stock rotation practices, and waste reduction initiatives.
Adhere to Barwon Health's Food Safety Plan, allergen controls, documentation standards, and relevant healthcare/industry regulations.
Manage stock, vendor receivables, and displays while maintaining accurate records and participating in regular documentation audits.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to occupational health and safety, including hazard reporting, incident management (RiskMan), and implementation of OH&S measures.
Participate in quality improvement activities, special projects, and other duties as directed within scope of skills, competence, and training.
