The main purpose of this position is to define the product structure of a manufactured item and loading Bill of Materials onto Syspro.
Duties and Responsibilities
Bill of Materials
1. Program the BOM in the correct factory levels.
2. Load Bill of Materials onto Syspro.
3. Update and fix BOM.
4. Create Stock codes and maintenance.
Job Entry
1. Check BOM and report errors.
2. Delete and fix existing job errors.
3. Update any material changes on all jobs.
4. Check old jobs and report errors or non-closures to programmers.
5. Act as the interface between PCP and Engineering.
6. Create and Load stock codes as per Engineering requests.
Routing
1. Load the factory routings on the BOM structure, using times given by Brazil.
2. Check the work centers with PCP making sure the operations are in the correct area.
3. Update the routing if times change or if work center changes.
Other
1. Assistance with Stock Takes.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Grade 12 Certificate or 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
2. Syspro Knowledge and or other ERP systems like SAP.
3. N Level Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous.
Special Requirements
1. A legal driving licence.
2. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
3. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communication and making presentations.
4. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
5. A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
6. Hard working, resourceful, ambitious with excellent business acumen.
Working Conditions
In office.
Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays should the need arise.
Required to attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession.
