Your new companyBe part of an organisation driving the transformation of Western Australia's energy landscape—modernising essential infrastructure, embracing renewable technologies, and delivering a secure, sustainable power supply for communities across the state.Your new roleManage projects within safety, environmental and other compliance requirements.Manage and oversee all financial aspects of the program of work to ensure tight control of budgets including forecasting and reporting requirements.Take personal accountability for safety in the work environment and ensure safe work practices are followed, and a safe work environment is maintained for yourself and the field resources.Understand and operate within the client's Occupational Health & Safety systems and reporting, including identifying hazards, taking corrective action and reporting all incidents.Ensuring the contractor's agreed safety management plans, JRAs, Environmental Management Plans, and detailed construction methodology, inspection and quality plans, construction schedules are strictly followed and reviewed regularly.Monitor contractor performance against the scope, specifications, standards, drawings and key deliverables.Assess and make recommendations on variations/claims and extensions of time in collaboration with the Contracts Manager, ensuring own detailed site records are being collated and maintained to support these claim assessments.Verify compliance with statutory and approval conditions (planning, environmental, heritage, utility interfaces).Ensure the adoption and conformance of the appropriate project, contract and design management principles, techniques, controls, processes and approaches, aligned to the client's governance frameworks and systems.Carry out delegated duties as the client's Representative in accordance with AS4000, AS4902 and AS4906 contracts.Access, analyse, identify and implement opportunities that achieve cost, time and quality improvements for construction delivery in line with approved frameworks and standards.Interpret, monitor and report on contractor progress against construction schedules including QA inspections of works.Review contract programs (baseline and updates) for logic, critical path, resource loading and sequencing – challenge slippage and recovery plans.Validate reported progress through site verification and quantity tracking – reconcile with payments claims and milestones.What you'll need to succeedTertiary qualifications in civil and/or structural engineering, quantity surveying or equivalent trade qualifications.Qualifications (Certificate/Diploma/Masters) in Construction Management and/or Project Management.Five plus years' experience in a senior role in construction project/program management and/or facilities management.Extensive broad and demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the suite of Australian Standard Construction contracts in a Contract Management role.Demonstrated project/program management experience on logistically complex projects.Experience in a leadership role, delegating responsibility, coaching and guiding to achieve positive outcomes and a positive team environment.Proven extensive client side project/program management experience with construction and/or maintenance programs.Proven experience working through each phase of the project lifecycle; from concept to execution and closeout.What you'll get in returnCompetitive hourly rate – weekly pay cycleFull-time initial 12-month contractOpportunity to work on major electrical infrastructure projects shaping WA's energy futureImmediate startWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
