The Opportunity
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Boilermaker to join our highly professional and skilled Fleet team. This is a diverse and fast-paced role working on an 8 on / 6 off roster, FIFO from Brisbane, DIDO and Local candidates are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time permanent role based in Orange, NSW. You'll work closely with teams across operations, fleet, and maintenance planning to deliver safe and quality results.
Responsibilities
6. Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
7. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc.
8. Examine work for defects, and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
9. Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, grinders and carbon rod gauging.
10. Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors.
11. Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
12. Represent SEE Group in a professional manner at all times, both externally and internally and support the adoption of the SEE Group corporate culture.
13. Responsible for a productive team environment where high morale contributes to the satisfactions of customers and business objectives.
Essential Skills and Attributes
14. Trade qualified in Boilermaker or Welding (desirable).
15. Enjoy practical and manual work.
16. Able to follow precise instructions.
17. Sound knowledge of QA processes.
18. Able to work without supervision.
19. Demonstrated experience in the construction industry.
20. Understand weld ability of QT Steels, Stainless Steels, Duplex Steels, Wear Plate and other exotic steels.
21. Current Drivers License.
22. Forklift License.
