About the Role
Reporting to the Chef/Cook, the Food Services Assistant plays a vital role in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Food Safety Program (FSP) while delivering high-quality food and beverages that meet our residents\' individual needs and preferences.
Key Duties
* Contribute to menu planning to support resident needs and preferences.
* Prepare, serve, present, and deliver food and refreshments in line with the FSP.
* Perform general cleaning duties as required under the FSP.
* Assist with monitoring and recording FSP requirements, such as temperature logs and goods receipting.
* Ensure friendly, timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents.
* Report any concerns relating to food and beverages to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
* Completion of a Food Handling Course.
* Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience in residential aged care food services.
* Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.
