Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road chemical manufacturing facility, we’re looking to engage an Engineering Project Control & Procurement Specialist within our Project Management Team. Within this role you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of capital projects across the Head Office Pipe Road site through two primary delivery activities - project control management and procurement management.
The project control aspect ensures robust project planning, cost control, scheduling, risk management, and performance reporting in alignment with regional and global business requirements. The role will assist in producing consolidated month-end project(s) financial reports in collaboration with the Supply Chain Financial Controller.
The procurement aspect ensures operational procurement of goods and services related to project delivery functions. The role will collaborate with the Category Manager – Indirects to ensure strategic sourcing plans for capital delivery spend are maintained.

How You’ll Help Us Grow
Assist the Project Manager(s) in monitoring, controlling, and administering the project progress and performance aspects of project management (scope, time, cost, quality and risk).
Provide project planning support, including creation of schedules, monitoring of budgets, variance analysis, status reporting, and resource planning alongside project managers
Ensure project control procedures and policies are executed and functioning according to Nufarm methodology & performance standards for all projects.
Will produce and issue, in conjunction with the Project Manager(s), the required status report(s) and dashboard for all internal stakeholders
Coordinate the project change management process, ensuring that all change impacts are properly integrated in project plan (scope, cost, schedule, people) and take proactive action to manage under performance.
Working with finance and project managers to ensure alignment of project forecast(s) with current funding and business requirements
Support capital projects with procurement planning and lead end-to-end sourcing activities, supplier evaluation, RFx process, negotiation, and contract execution (with approval via company DOA)
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies
Could This Be You?
You will have qualifications within engineering/business/management with experience within project and procurement controls, ideally within a chemical manufacturing environment or similar role in the food, Pharma or petrochemical industry. You also bring a strong analytical and problem solving mindset across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Engaging and proactive, you have excellent communication skills that you can leverage to engage teams and drive collaboration and have demonstrated experience in project control, procurement sourcing, contract negotiation and contractor management.
You’re passionate about project management support and procurement controls and can utilise your knowledge base and expertise to drive change ensuring we remain competitive as a manufacturing plant.
