Your new role
As an Applications Support Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for resolving complex product-related issues. You'll manage support cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective resolutions while maintaining clear and proactive communication with customers. Your day-to-day will involve troubleshooting application behaviour, identifying configuration or integration issues, and collaborating with internal teams when deeper technical input is needed.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the primary technical contact for support cases
* Managing the full case lifecycle, including escalation when necessary
* Investigating and resolving issues related to application behaviour, data, and integrations
* Providing regular updates to customers and ensuring a smooth resolution process
* Documenting findings and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
* Identifying trends and working with peers to improve support processes
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in Applications of software support
* Proficiency in PHP and SQL, with the ability to debug and interpret code
* Familiarity with JavaScript in a troubleshooting context
* Experience working in Linux environments and using command-line tools
* Understanding of web application architecture, particularly the LAMP stack
* Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, browser dev tools, and log analysis
* Experience supporting CRM platforms
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
* A structured, detail-oriented approach to managing support workloads
* Experience supporting SaaS platforms in dynamic environments (desirable)
* Familiarity with tools like HubSpot or Salesforce (desirable)
* Background in CRM configuration or integration (desirable)
* Relevant certifications or technical credentials (desirable)
* Contributions to internal documentation or support optimisation initiatives (desirable)
* Exposure to Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IIS (desirable)
