Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our legal policy team as an Assistant Director.

This is a key role within the corporate support team, driving the operations of our divisions and contributing to the development of legislation and procurement of legal advice.

The successful applicant will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal instruments, working closely with the ACT Government Solicitor, and potentially supporting litigation and coronial matters.

This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency.

Previous experience in legal policy support is highly desirable, particularly in legislation development.

* Strong understanding of legislative reform and its impact on the natural and built environments.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.

Flexible working options are considered, including hybrid working, job-sharing, and flexible start and finish times.
