Mi Global Construction is seeking a full-time Draftsperson to join our team and help us create innovative and practical construction solutions for commercial sheds, modular houses, and utility rooms.
Job Description
As a Draftsperson at Mi Global Construction, you will work closely with our estimator, playing a crucial role in the creation of full construction drawings for a wide variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include:
· Full Construction Drawings – Create comprehensive and precise construction drawings for a variety of construction projects ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. You will also have a thorough understanding of the NCC (National Construction Code) volume 1 & 2 and associated compliance with regards to disability access, energy efficiency and BAL ratings.
· Preliminary Drawings – Prepare preliminary drawings for quoting purposes, contributing to the tendering process.
· Collaboration – Work closely with our estimator to develop tenders on a design and construct basis, ensuring seamless coordination between design and cost estimation.
· Internal Fit outs – Collaborate with our shed division to design internal fit outs for livable sheds and commercial spaces, enhancing functionality and aesthetics.
· Block Plans – Generate block plans to facilitate efficient project execution and space utilization.
· Scheduling – Develop schedules for internal fit outs and create finishing schedules in our job management system to ensure projects run smoothly and to budget.

Qualifications and Skills
· Diploma of Building Design or equivalent
· Proven experience in drafting in the construction industry
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
