The successful candidate will have completed a minimum of 4 years of accredited training in Radiation Oncology or other oncology specialty, and will possess excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise. They will be responsible for managing patients undergoing radiation therapy, collaborating with research teams, and participating in clinical research activities. The ideal candidate will also have strong teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills, and be able to demonstrate empathy and effective communication with patients and their carers.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of Radiation Oncology outpatients under supervision of Radiation Oncologists
* Assess and formulate management plans for patients presenting for care
* Participate in research activities, including data interpretation and analysis for publication and presentation
* Develop own specialty interests based on experience and mentorship
* Observe leading-edge treatments at other sites
* Communicate assessment and management decisions to Radiation Oncologists and other staff
Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent, registered or eligible to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia
* Completion of at least 4 years of accredited training in Radiation Oncology or other oncology specialty
* Demonstrated Clinical Competency appropriate to level
* Working towards completion of relevant College examinations
