Commercial Manager – Renewable Energy & Infrastructure

Our client is a well-capitalised international developer and investor with a growing footprint across the Australian energy transition. With an established global track record across large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects, the business is continuing to scale its Australian platform and is seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager to support the structuring and delivery of complex development opportunities.
This role will sit at the intersection of development, investment and commercial structuring, working closely with senior leadership across the project lifecycle - from early-stage opportunity identification through to project execution and strategic partnerships.

Scope & Responsibilities
The Commercial Manager will play a key role supporting the commercial strategy and execution of energy and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the commercial structuring of development opportunities, including joint ventures, co-development arrangements and strategic partnerships
* Leading commercial analysis to support investment decisions and project structuring
* Negotiating and managing key commercial agreements across the project lifecycle
* Supporting the evaluation of new development opportunities including land, grid and project partnerships
* Working closely with development, finance, legal and technical teams to ensure alignment across project delivery
* Supporting M&A activity, asset acquisitions and partnership opportunities where relevant
* Managing commercial risk and ensuring projects are structured to maximise long-term value creation
* Engaging with external stakeholders including development partners, advisors and investors
About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates who bring a strong commercial skillset within the energy, infrastructure or project development sectors. Typical backgrounds may include:
* Experience in a commercial, investment, development or transaction-focused role within energy, infrastructure or related sectors
* Strong understanding of project development and commercial structuring
* Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements or partnership structures
* Exposure to renewable energy, energy transition or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly advantageous
* Ability to operate across multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments
* Strong financial and commercial analysis capability
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
