Plant Operator - Parks and Gardens – Upper Lachlan Shire Council

What You'll Do
* Undertake general parks and gardens maintenance duties including weeding, planting, mulching, mowing, pruning, disease and pest control, irrigation, watering, playground inspection and maintenance.
* Ensure consistent delivery of the highest level of customer service.
* Ensure our open spaces and associated amenities are maintained and improved to a high standard.
* Operate and maintain small to medium plant and equipment, ensuring all work is conducted safely and efficiently.
* Uphold Council's values of sustainability, integrity, respect, and professionalism in all tasks.
* Provide exceptional service to our community, ensuring public spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
What You'll Bring
* Contemporary experience in horticulture, or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development.
* Class C Driver's License.
* Proven ability to operate, maintain and clean mowers (push & ride‑on), brush cutters, chippers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, leaf‑sucking equipment, and edgers.
* Able to competently operate, safely drive and maintain vehicles and plant.
* Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety and environmental standards.
