At LabourCo we partner with a number of clients to offer a wide range of opportunities across a broad range of industries. We are currently seeking expression of interests for Casual Pool Lifeguards at Gunnedah Pool.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a number of casual lifeguards for a year‐round aquatic facility at Gunnedah. Available for rostered and on‐call shifts, you will work as part of a team delivering day‐to‐day pool operations at Gunnedah Swimming Pool including but not limited to pool operations, maintenance of equipment, supervising pool patrons and assisting with ensuring a safe environment for all staff and pool patrons in accordance with latest industry or legislative requirements.
Pool Lifeguard
* Current accreditation; Royal Life Saving Society – Australia Pool Lifeguard Licence or ability to update/obtain Licence prior to commencement.
* Current First Aid and CPR qualifications (Apply First Aid, Apply Advanced First Aid, Perform CPR).
* Possess a current Working with Children Check.
* Knowledge of pool supervision, water safety, water education, rescue techniques and public safety requirements.
* Great customer abilities and basic computer skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team or with minimal supervision.

* Flexible mindset with an unwavering commitment to safety.
* Ability to work rostered shifts from 5:30am – 6:00pm (Mon-Sun) and available to fill occasional shifts on an ad‐hoc basis.
* Highly motivated and enthusiastic – sound judgement, integrity and ethics with a commitment to working as a team.
* Ability to manage difficult situations/patrons in an appropriate professional manner.
* Sound problem‐solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
