Your new role
As Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate complex digital projects that span multiple business areas. You will:
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation
* Ensure project delivery is aligned with governance frameworks and decision‑making processes
* Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
* Monitor budgets and coordinate procurement and contract management activities
* Oversee a portfolio of related initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
* Lead, mentor, and support project teams to drive high‑quality project outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks
This contract is expected to run from April September 2026, with a 12‑month extension option, and requires Baseline security clearance at a minimum.
What you'll need to succeed
Mandatory skills & experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management
* Strong experience applying project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, etc.)
* Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
* Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capability
* Experience managing budgets, procurement, and contract processes
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to resolve complex project issues
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams
Desirable:
- Qualifications in data analytics, business, economics, or similar
- Experience working in a government reporting environment
- Familiarity with Australian Government reporting requirements
