It’ll get there, but it’s not exactly smooth sailing.That’s where you come in.This is a blank slate moment. A rare chance to build something from the ground up and actually be trusted to do it.In this newly created role, you’ll shape Allambi’s procurement function from scratch. That means introducing structure, systems and strategy where it’s been missing.From setting up a procurement framework that sticks to finding and implementing a purchase-to-pay system that removes all those messy, manual workarounds – this is your chance to bring in big change without red tape holding you back.You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, including Property, Finance and more, plus help guide employees through the shift. It’s about getting buy-in, showing the value, and setting up processes that make everyone’s lives easier (without losing the human touch).Once the foundations are in place, you’ll take the reins, leading and reviewing supplier negotiations with value front and centre. Because in a not-for-profit, every dollar saved means more support for the people who need it most.This role is not about stepping into someone else’s shoes or inheriting broken processes.This one’s yours to shape.You & Your ExperienceYou’ve been in procurement for some time now, ideally at least five years to establish yourself a true procurement specialist, who knows what good looks like.You’ve been responsible for creating and implementing procurement frameworks before, and you’re confident in your ability to do it again. You don’t just follow best practices, you define them.Or maybe your experience is so firm, you’re confident you could step in and make it happen, even if you haven’t built frameworks from scratch before.Some may say you’re a natural leader. You’ve led small teams, built strong relationships with execs and middle managers, and know how to influence and engage. Skills that’ll be key in this role.You’re always on the lookout for the best deals and value, and you know how to negotiate without compromising on quality.When it comes to systems, you’ve had experience with large ERP systems and purchase-to-pay platforms. Ideally, you’ve been hands-on with automating processes to reduce admin and improve outcomes.And if you’ve worked in a not-for-profit or human services space before?
