At Epworth HealthCare, we are seeking enthusiastic Sterilising (CSSD) Technicians to join our team in a casual, part-time or full-time capacity. Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will be part of a well-supported, dedicated and busy CSSD workforce that will expand your skills and experience.

A comprehensive orientation program will support your transition into this role. Our facility performs a wide range of complex surgeries across all specialties. The recent introduction of the T-Doc instrument tracking system will assist you in your everyday practice to identify robotic, navigational and complex custom-made instrumentation.


Key Responsibilities

* You will work across various shifts, motivated with good problem-solving skills to adapt and embrace constant changes within a working environment.

You will have:

* A sound understanding and knowledge of infection control requirements and Australian Sterilising Standard (AS/NZS4187)
* Excellent teamwork skills with ability to work collaboratively within a busy team with changing priorities and work demands
* Outstanding customer service skills with ability to build close working relationships within the CSSD team, operating theatres and other key areas
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to use computer systems
* A high level of understanding of OHS, with good manual handling techniques and basic level chemical safety within the sterilising services
* An understanding of and commitment to quality improvements


Work Environment

Epworth Freemasons consists of two sites: Main Hospital on Albert Street East Melbourne and Victoria Parade site, just across the road. Both sites offer car parking at a discounted rate and easy accessibility from Parliament Station.

The annual salary range for Instrument Technicians is $52,478.00 to $70,824 + super + entitlements dependent on year level. You will also have access to benefits such as enhanced Not for Profit status, educational scholarship program, ability to purchase up to four additional weeks of leave and reduced cost of health services for you and your family.
