Our client is a respected financial services organisation with a strong values-led culture and a long-term investment focus. As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and commercially minded Risk Manager to play a key role in strengthening enterprise risk capability.
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance in a second-line capacity, you will lead enterprise and operational risk initiatives and drive the ongoing uplift of risk management practices across the organisation. You will implement and maintain risk governance processes for material risks, ensure internal controls are clearly documented and fit for purpose, and deliver clear, insightful risk reporting to senior stakeholders. You will also oversee risk policies and frameworks, contribute to governance committees, and play a central role in delivering the organisation-wide risk management program.
This hands-on role will suit a senior risk professional with financial services experience and qualifications in commerce, accounting, law or a related discipline, currently working in industry or professional services. You will bring a pragmatic, approachable style and a proven ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and communicate with clarity. Adaptable and proactive, you apply risk management with sound judgement and a practical, common-sense mindset. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a self-starting approach are essential. Postgraduate qualifications in risk or governance will be highly regarded. Melbourne-based.
