Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Team Lead – Civil and Tailings to join our Resources and Materials Engineering group.
Our Civil and Tailings teams have now come together within GHD's Resource and Materials Engineering business group in Perth, strengthening a capability known for delivering dynamic projects across the Mining and Energy sectors through GHD's diversity and Tier 1 client partnerships.
This integration opens the door to a wide portfolio of work, from Tailings, Civil, Process and NPI projects across commodities such as iron ore, gold, lithium and bauxite, to Future Energy and Renewables developments including wind, solar, hydrogen and power transmission.
You'll also join a highly diverse network of specialists representing more than 20 countries and nearly 30 language backgrounds.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
* Preparing successful engineering bids and proposals in the WA mining industry
* Delivering multiple medium-sized brownfield projects on time and within budget
* Building and maintaining a work stream to grow team size and capability
* Managing multi-disciplined engineering and drafting teams
* Mentoring and developing young professionals and graduates
* Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring safe work practices
* Supporting the Resource Engineering Group to drive GHD's mining and resources strategy, business ethics, and values
What you will bring to the team:
* Bachelor of Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (minimum); CPEng or Project Management qualification highly regarded
* Proven technical experience in either Tailings Engineering or Civil design for resources clients
* Strong networks and client contacts in the mining marketplace
* Commercial awareness and ability to deliver successful project outcomes
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with a client service focus
* Leadership skills and a track record in engineering management
